POWERLENS TERMS AND CONDITIONS
IMPORTANT NOTICE: On March 21, 2019, the Government of Ontario made changes to the conservation programs in Ontario. As a result of these changes, the POWERLENS PROGRAM IS COMING TO AN END EFFECTIVE April 1, 2019. You will still be able to view Your Usage, set up Notifications and redeem your Rewards Points for gift cards.
PowerLens is offered to you by Toronto Hydro and funded by the Independent Electricity System Operator ("IESO")
1. Acceptance of Website Terms
Your access to and use of the PowerLens website (the "PowerLens Site") constitutes your acceptance of the following terms of use (the "PowerLens Terms and Conditions") and are in addition to the My TorontoHydro™ Customer Self Service Portal - Standard Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these PowerLens Terms and Conditions, you should immediately stop using the PowerLens Site and destroy all materials obtained by you through use of this PowerLens Site.
These PowerLens Terms and Conditions may change from time to time without notice and it is your responsibility to check for updates. The effective date of these PowerLens Terms is January 19th, 2017.
You acknowledge and accept that Toronto Hydro and the IESO do not guarantee continuous, uninterrupted or secure access to this website and/or any Home Assessment Tool it contains and operation of this PowerLens Site and/or any Home Assessment Tool it contains may be interfered with or adversely affected by numerous factors or circumstances outside its control.
2. Rewards Program
Points are earned for achievement of certain electricity savings during the operation of the rewards program which expires effective April 1st, 2019. You must redeem a minimum of 2000 points before redemption. 2,000 points = $10 electronic gift card from participating retailers. Upon redemption, your rewards will be automatically debited. Participating retailers are not sponsors of the rewards program or otherwise affiliated with Toronto Hydro. The logos and other identifying marks are trademarks of and owned by each represented retailer and/or its affiliates.
3. Warranty
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Toronto Hydro makes no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, regarding the use or the results of this PowerLens Site and/or any Home Assessment Tool it contains in terms of its correctness, accuracy, reliability, availability, or otherwise, and disclaims all warranties with regard to the information provided, including the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. The PowerLens Site and/or any Home Assessment Tool it contains is provided on an 'as-is' and on an 'as available' basis.
4. Usage History
Your usage information is an estimate of usage and costs. The homes used in comparison is also based on actual billing information, together with publicly available information such as home size, home age and other information. These comparisons are to help you better understand your energy usage. Toronto Hydro does not warrant or guarantee the accuracy of the information provided.
5. Home Assessments
Data derived from the Home Assessment Tool is for information purposes only. Calculated savings should be considered estimates only and are based on actual consumption combined with customer inputs into the Home Assessment Tool and other available data. The more complete your home energy assessment, the more accurate the savings plan. For the most accurate plan, please contact a contractor to perform a professional home energy assessment.
6. Contractors / Products
Contractors and products listed on the PowerLens Site is for information purposes only. Toronto Hydro does not endorse or recommend any specific contractor or product nor does Toronto Hydro make any representations, warranties or guarantees and assumes no responsibility for the conduct or quality of a contractor's work or products used or purchased. All implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, merchantable quality or fitness for any particular purpose or otherwise are hereby disclaimed.
7. Financing
Toronto Hydro does not endorse or recommend any specific financing solution or accept any liability that may be alleged to arise from working with any financial institution. Toronto Hydro does not guarantee any of the rates, terms, underwriting criteria or other financing product information which are subject to change at any time and without notice. You should research and secure financing independently with each financial institution.

9. Entity
User declares that they are an actual person and the account holder of record, that they possess the right to provide the information submitted, and that the information submitted is accurate, complete and truthful.
